Let us be honest this year has been stressful!
With Ups and downs change every week, that have played a part in the nation’s feelings and worries in 2020.
Now with the imminent second lockdown looming its yet another stressful week.
National Stress awareness day is even more important this year, lets take some time to think about our own triggers for stress.
If its just the stress of work, kids and no activities, or the impact on your Christmas shopping. Let’s just take a day to think about stress.
Where does it come from? How can you combat it? How does it make you feel?
Our solution at Spudulica Home and Garden is getting out in the garden or taking care of indoor plants, they can make a big difference. Take a break from working from home, isolating even if its just to get outside.
Many studies have shown that gardening has physical and emotional health benefits. Finding a way to cope and put anxieties aside can-do wonders for your mental health, working on your garden can lower cortisol levels. Cortisol is a hormone released in response to stress in the body. So, get out even if its just to relax and look at what you have planted in the garden. Pull up the odd few weeds, prune a bush, maybe plant some bulbs, it wont take too long and will give your mind and body a break from the stress in the world right now.
