Edging
Are edging pieces supplied with pins?
Yes each length of flexible edging 60mm/45mm and HD edging purchased you received 4 pins per piece as standard. The aluminium edging is 2 pins per piece for any height.
You can buy always purchase additional plastic or metal pins.
Where are my pins and jointers?
Please check carefully for jointers and securing spike sin your packaging to ensure they haven’t been thrown away when un packing.
Accessories will be packed together and then attached to a piece of edging this may look like extra packaging on the lengths of edging.
How do I insert my jointers?
Along the back side of the aluminium edging there is a notched section at the top (this is on all heights of edging). This notch will match up to the jointing pieces notched edges, simply slide one end of the jointer into
one side of a 2m length. Then line up the next piece of 2m edging alongside and then move the jointer to connect the two across the join once the 2m lengths
are in place.
How do I insert my pins?
Each aluminium 2m length has a horizontal back sections with pre drilled holes where the pins can be inserted as needed. Each pin will fit easily and the flat top will be visible if it needs to be lifted again.
Can I curve my aluminium edging?
Yes, you can follow any garden design needed. Just simple use the notches in the back sections of the length to bend as needed.
How many do I need?
Jointers are needed to connect 2 lengths together and 2 pins are provided for each 2m length purchased. If you have an intricate design more pins may be needed for a secure and tidy finish.
How do I install my edging?
Prepare the ground an area you want to place the edge. Put out in place to check before fixing down. Place down with the notched section at the back and secure down where needed. Once the lengths are connected and secured down put your soil or similar back up to the back of the edging for that finished look. Best practice to put in pins using a booted foot for a secure insertion. Check out our blog section for more edging tips.
